Stephanie Noori is a multi-instrumentalist who has performed all over the world and is fluent in a variety of musical styles. She is an active soloist and chamber musician on violin, viola, and viola da gamba and a specialist in early music performance. She acquired a Bachelor in Music Performance from the University of North Texas and Master in Music from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music and, 2015, was a finalist with her group Les Touches in the Early Music International Young Artists Competition in York, England. Stephanie now performs with a diverse many groups including La Follia, Texas Early Music Project, Ars Lyrica, Mountainside Baroque, Austin Baroque Orchestra (for which she is concertmaster), and is a founding member of the chamber ensemble Les Touches and multimedia ensemble, Lumedia Musicworks.
Though she has done extensive classical work, Stephanie enjoys performing in many other styles of music. As a Texas native she was quickly inducted into country fiddling and later into celtic styles as well. With a passion for improvisation she has also explored early music, blues, bluegrass, and jazz.
In addition to performing, Stephanie spends time arranging and composing original material which incorporates her love for many styles of music.
A versatile musician, Stephanie sings and plays several instruments. Because of this she has had opportunities to perform and record with many groups including Lonley Street Productions, Lynn Anderson and the American Metropole Orchestra, and OK Sweetheart.
